Spring is in full swing on Los Angeles’ iconic Melrose Avenue with the opening of the Miss Dior Millefiori Garden pop-up. The space – the first of its kind in the US – is a celebration of the newest interpretation of the Miss Dior fragrance, which was first launched in 1947, along with the New Look collection. It makes sense, because Christian Dior said that no outfit was complete without a cloud of perfume!

On the spot, we plunge into a real olfactory and visual immersion of the Miss Dior universe, thanks to the thousands of flowers that dress the place. We took advantage of our visit to have a coffee at the Miss Dior Millefiori Garden Café – ultra chic! -to admire the works of art that Ingrid Donat, Bianca Back, Anya Kielar and Haruka Kojin have created in homage to Miss Dior, to take a selfie in the room of infinite mirrors and to discover the new beauty products of the house. Above all, we can’t fail to be amazed by the incredible “millefiori” flower embroidered dress, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s artistic director, which took the outstanding seamstresses at the Dior workshops more than 500 hours to make and which Natalie Portman, the face of Miss Dior since 2010, wore in the fragrance’s most recent campaign.

The latest version of Miss Dior is based on a millefiori of petals as fragrant as they are colourful, with a fresh and sensual bouquet of velvety and carnal notes: again and again, the extraordinary rose of Grasse, here surrounded by centifolia rose, iris and peony. Above all, we fall in love with the couture knot, made and tied by hand with 396 threads, which adorns the elegant bottle.

When he created Miss Dior, Christian Dior wanted a perfume “that smells of love” and it is still a successful mission 75 years later, as proven by this pop-up that is as chic as it is playful, which makes us want to #WakeUpForLove!
