Editor’s Pick: Philosophy’s Sunshine Grace Fragrance
People keep stopping me on the street. Complete strangers, men and women, standing close to me for a moment, then posing a question. It was odd and caught me off guard at first, but now I always expect the same inquisitive phrase, “what perfume are you wearing?” Even a woman on a street corner in SoHo New York City gently touched my arm and asked (I was hoping it would be Jake Gyllenhaal, but sadly not). Clearly I have found my ideal scent.
If you read my blog bio you’ll learn that I’m a
hoarder of perfumes. I always like to switch it up, from heavy and rich like Tom Ford’s White Patchouli, to light and fresh with Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom and Honey. But lately Philosophy’s Sunshine Grace has become my steady favourite
summer scent – clean, crisp, light and airy, it just sits well on my skin and fades throughout the day into a softer scent. And apparently works well for me. It’s actually the second Philosophy fragrance I fell in love with … I wore Philosophy’s Living Grace on my
wedding day. Most brides opt for Chanel No. 5, Chloe’s Love, or a heavy on the floral scent — I wanted a scent that I didn’t normally wear so it would always bring back memories of that day, and went for the clean, fresh scent of Living Grace. But to be honest, that was a year and a half ago, and I hadn’t thought of venturing into their other fragrances, until this one popped up on my desk. All the more reason to be adventurous and try out a new summer fragrance, because you never know who might stop you on the street.
