What is one of the most important things women need to keep reminding themselves of when they think about their skin-care routine? What is often overlooked?
There are a couple of things that women need to keep in mind. First, skin “condition” can change. Weather, stress and the environment can all cause the condition of your skin to alter. You may notice additional breakouts, dehydration, dryness or fine lines. We can blame the products that we are using when in fact it is external causes as mentioned (stress, weather, environment, travel etc.). With this in mind, what is often overlooked is the need to adjust your skin care routine based on the change of season or the changes in your life. Secondly, many women don’t realize the the need for daily sun protection all year, not only in the summer when we are in the sun. Using daily sunscreen helps to keep the skin healthy and firm.
What are the top 3 essentials in a solid skin-care routine?
First – Cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your skin with products that are custom-fit to your skin’s strength and condition. Second, fit sunscreen into your every day routine. Third, if you wear makeup use a makeup solvent to remove your makeup every night.
If you could only invest in one “luxury” product for your skin, what type of product would it be?
A basic skin care program to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize is worth the investment as this simple 3 step routine will keep your skin healthy.
What is the biggest myth associated with skin-care?
That one product can do all things. This is a myth because the skin is a complex organ that is very individual to the person.
