Under the blinding hair and makeup lights backstage, the models with bright white blonde hair are like beauty beacons. It seems the Balenciaga Blonde trend is experiencing some aftershocks, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Sasha Luss’ white-hot colour commands near obnoxious forms of attention. At every backstage show I attended, I watched this Russian beauty get tailed by photographers each time she stood up from a hair or makeup chair. Often, she’d oblige, but after a white she started to develop a frosty reputation. Hey, models need to eat too (and they actually do—they really do).
