Katherine Flemming, health and beauty editor: We’ve said it before, and we’re saying it again: lipstick is poised to be huge for Fall 2015. What can I say about a rich black lip? It’s striking, it’s stunning, and set against clean skin and full brows it’s a full-blown beauty hit. AND I WOULD TOTALLY WEAR IT. What also made this show quite interesting was the casting: Andreja Pejić made her first post-transition runway debut. #acceptance

Victoria DiPlacido, assistant beauty editor:
The thing about wearing a dark lip – and in the case of Giles, by dark we mean a shade that’s nearly black – is that it isn’t meant to be pretty, per se: It’s not trying to be a delicate pink or a comfortably bold red; it’s probably going to make people do a double take. And that’s just the way we like it. Make like Kendall Jenner (who also walked in Giles’ F/W ‘14 show, during her first turn as a model at LFW) and wear the lip with confidence, if not the all-black ensemble.

KF: Daytime smoky eyes? Beauty Director Vanessa Craft must have had a hand in this. Makeup artist Wendy Rowe used a mink shade to create "a darker shade for day" which sounds like beauty speak for old trend, new phrasing. Not that there’s anything wrong with it! Skin was given a "cashmere" finish, which sounds expensive, so I’ll take it. And the hair? Typical Burberry—smooth, but not without a generous heaping of texture.

VDP: Does it get any more British than Burberry? Hairstylist Christiaan dubbed the hair at the show “angel hair,” meaning perfectly healthy and conditioned, no matter what your natural texture is. While runway hair can often be, shall we say, extreme, this is a totally attainable look we can get behind.
