On the final day of Montreal Fashion Week, we saw everything from hair inspired by the 1920s and makeup reminiscent of
Dynasty.
With ornate loops of hair pinned closed to the scalp, the look brought the Roaring ’20s to mind, but with a futuristic twist. Denis Binet, creative director for hair for
MFW, had style percolating in his head since the spring collection six months ago. "The loop on the forehead helps to open up the face and we airbrushed the style with black waterbased paint to give it a matte look, I want the models’ hair to look as though they are statues," he says. To get this look, Denis had to use one tube of Pantene Curl Shaping Gel per model.
