Katy-Perry-Dark-Horse Katy Perry’s "Dark Horse" video was released today–and thanks to her turn at the
Brit Awards, we had a sneaking suspicion that Katy would be walking like an Egyptian in this video as well. Obviously, this look is grounded by the insanely
amazing eyeliner. Makeup artist Jake Bailey based the look on the "eye of Horus", an Egyptian symbol of good health, protection and royal power. Who *wouldn’t* want all of that?
Jake’s Kit:

  • COVERGIRL Bombshell Intensity Liner in Pitch Black Passion
  • COVERGIRL Bombshell Shine Shadow in Gold Goddess
  • COVERGIRL Bombshell Shine Shadows in Ooh La Lilac
  • COVERGIRL Bombshell Volume Mascara

The method: Jake used a long-lasting eyeliner to stay put under the warm lights. He used the gold shadow on the centre and inner areas of the lids, applying the lilac shade to the outer corners. Just before the shadow dried, he patted on bright purple and peachy glitter. After applying a strip of false lashes, he applied the new Bombshell Volume Mascara. Jake’s best tip? "When doing an intricate eye look, especially one with glitter, always do the eyes first. There’s no point in trying to achieve a flawless complexion, cheek and lip if you’re going to be dropping shadow and glitter all over it!" #BRILLIANT
