The I-woke-up-like-this (-after-a-night-out) eyeliner at Ann Demeulemeester

Katherine Flemming, health and beauty editor: This is how I look ten minutes after I apply black eyeliner, so it actually hits too close to home. Is there a ghoulish beauty trend happening for Fall 2015?

Victoria DiPlacido, assistant beauty editor: Well, this look marries some of the most interesting fall fashion week trends thus far: hair-as-scarf and devil-may-care eyeliner. I’m not saying I don’t like it, but let’s stick to one OTT trend at a time shall we?

The gilded faces at Rick Owens

KF: HOLY &$*%, this look is crazy arresting. And also, no need for blending or concealing.

VDP: My immediate reaction: A strong urge to know what makeup remover was used to get the caked-on product(s) off.

The OTT-everything at Manish Arora

KF: This show is almost always campy and crazy—and while the gold lip and hair is pretty amazing—I AM SO DISTRACTED BY THE NOSE RING.

VDP: This is like Haider Ackermann’s ugly-but-cool “monk buzz cut” from S/S ’15 on steroids. If you can manage to draw your attention away from the giant nose rings, the gold nails are quite nice.
