Can we finally end this prolonged game of fashion musical chairs? After leaving Christian Dior back in October, Raf Simons has assumed the role of Chief Creative Officer at Calvin Klein. The earlier departure of womenswear designer Francisco Costa signalled a new strategy for Calvin Klein. Now, Simons won’t just head up womenswear, but be in charge of the holistic creative vision for the entire brand—from underwear to denim. It’s an exciting time for the label, which is riding the wave of ’90s nostalgia and tapping countless influencers to front its viral campaigns. The long-rumoured appointment of Simons is another power move for Calvin Klein, who broke the news on Instagram:
