Gap Maternity Spring 2015: Embroidered eyelet shift dress

"I’m saving the public debut of this beauty for my baby shower, but the fashion shows that I do at home (for my pugs) have proved this dress is a clear winner. It doesn't grab; it skims, the fabric is lined and the shift shape feels very endless summer. It’s also so lovely in black, but I have a soft spot for white eyelet in the summer." Gap Maternity Spring 2015: 1969 Inset Panel Forever Stretch Legging Jeans

"When these arrived in the mail, I held them up toward the light and thought—there is no way these will fit over my hips and thighs. But this blessed blend of 65% cotton, 31% polyester and 3% lycra makes miracles happen. The pants slid easily over my hips and thighs, and despite the button—which I thought might dig into my belly—I didn’t even need to unzip them to get them on. They are much more comfortable than classic cotton leggings, since the fit to your true form. And the side elastic panel is so barely noticeable."  1969 Inset Panel Forever Stretch Legging Jeans ($89.95), at gapcanada.ca. READ MORE: 10 comfy shoes to wear on your next date

Gap Maternity Spring 2015: Tunic popover shirt

"You know something is good when your colleagues are clamouring to get their hands on their own. 'It doesn’t even look like maternity!' squealed one colleague—and she was spot on. This makes me feel very polished, is wildly comfortable and looks amazing with my beloved black jeggings. I also love the mandarin collar."  Tunic popover shirt ($59.95), at gapcanada.ca. Gap Maternity Spring 2015: 1969 Inset Panel Maddie Short in Powder Bleach

"These shorts are adorable, but run very small and are very short (seems cruel for a preggo person, no?). So they're best suited for women who carry their weight in their upper body. I like the idea of purchasing these near the end of your pregnancy, so you have something to slip on quite easily while you're still sporting a belly." 1969 Inset Panel Maddie Short in Powder Bleach ($59.95), at gapcanada.ca. Gap Maternity Spring 2015: Laser Cut Tank

"This tank is really, really sweet—but it's best kept for your early months, when you're either hiding the bump (and pretending that tuna roll you're friend is mainlining isn't making you queasy), rather than letting it all hang out during work meetings. Why? The fabric is a cotton/polyester blend, but skews closer to a non-stretch cotton. So once you're bump hits the fabric, it won't fall as nicely as it does on the hanger. And I'm one of those pregnant people who gets in moods where I don't want anything grabbing me in inappropriate places (as that's what got me in this state)." Gap Maternity Spring 2015: Stripe Midi Dress

"I was a bit intimidated by this initial pattern–though my love for stripes runs deep! I thought I'd look like Shamu, but it turns out, the straight shape + slight boatneck grabbed me in all the right places. The highlight was the lack of ruching, which I find is a dead giveaway for subpar maternity pieces. I'll probably live in this through summer, since I know my belly won't look like J-Lo's after 40 weeks with Tracy Anderson." Stripe Midi Dress ($89.95), at gapcanada.ca. Gap Maternity Spring 2015: Fishtail hooded parka

"It’s harder to find a maternity jacket that doesn’t have an obnoxious over-the-bump belt than it is to scroll through your insta without spying a selfie. So when you find one as good as this—which I predict I’ll be wearing for years and years—you really appreciate it. The drawcord ties do feel a little bit creepy when they tickle the back of your bare legs, but you’ll adjust after the 5th or 6th time you jump out of your skin."
