• Name-brand jewels
• A matching necklace and earrings
• A wristwatch in the evening
• A jean jacket with jeans (but do wear a jean jacket with flannel trousers)
• Green and blue together (it looks like the inside of an aquarium or the bottom of the sea)
• Cutesy decals on sweaters (the kind you see on baby clothes -- like Hello Kitty)
• White Converse sneakers (but do wear cream-coloured ones)
• Skirts made from underwear or bathmat-like fabrics (they're only okay if you're a model)
• Embroidered jeans (flowered, gothic lettering, whatever -- just don't)
• Overstated "fun" glasses (regardless of colour, motif or material)
• Transparent-plastic bra straps
