Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne attire projects "strength and consistency" in The Dark Knight Rises.
The Hollywood actor has reprised his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy finale.
Giorgio Armani reunited with costume designer Lindy Hemming to create Bruce Wayne’s wardrobe after previously working on 2008's The Dark Knight.
The iconic designer gushed about the high-profile project.
“In the lexicon of superheroes, it’s an honor to be associated with such an intriguing character as Bruce Wayne,” he told WWD before adding that he "[sought to project] strength and consistency in Wayne’s edgy, mysterious world.”
Armani also outfitted Christian's co-star's Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The Italian designer also provided accessories for Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman in the film.
Costumer Lindy thinks the collaboration with Armani is the perfect choice for Christian's suave character.
“We had established Wayne’s elegant tailored look in contrast to his iconic Batman persona,” she said. “Giorgio Armani’s luxury suiting continues to offer the perfect visual look for him.” © Cover Media
