Twenty8Twelve: Sienna's hot new fashion line

On September 7th, 2007 London It-girl Sienna Miller and her equally chic sister Savannah unveiled their highly anticipated collection at Toronto's mecca of style, Holt Renfrew. The store, transformed into a Victorian carnival, was host to a bevy of stars eager to check out the fashion from this latest celebrity offering.

Their new label Twenty8Twelve (which was named after Sienna's birthday: December 28) is titled "An Anthology of Rebellion" and is described by the duo as a collection with an androgynous yet eccentric style mixed with a Dickensian London vibe all rolled into one. How perfectly apropos considering Sienna's outfit for the night bore a ringmaster's hat -- an impossible topper for most -- but irrefutably stylish on her.

The sister act, although admittedly don't share the same tastes, found the collaborative process of designing to be one of the most rewarding aspects. While Savannah took to design (thanks, in part, to her studies at top brass fashion school Central St. Martin's in London and her stints with Alexander McQueen and Matthew Williamson), Sienna assumed the role of muse who added her own personal punk-rock touches -- like zip details on jeans, tails on sleek leather coats and florescent details on corseted tank tops -- to her sister's romantic creations.

In the September edition of UK Vogue the two sisters modeled some of their signature pieces from their 80-piece collection which include some finely tailored leather jackets, peasant-like blouses in neutral tones, denim, luxurious knitwear, casual dresses and coats with an emphasis on superb cut and finishing.

"The collection is fabulous and fits a niche we've been looking to fill at Holt's," says Saira Zia, womenswear buyer at Holt Renfrew. "It is at a price point that is accessible to Canadian women ($95 for a tank up to $495 for a tuxedo jacket) who are both young and hip shoppers but also the mature woman who wants fine tailoring."

Twenty8Twelve is available exclusively at Holt Renfrew in Canada; holtrenfrew.com
