In news that surprises nobody, the 2017 Grammy nominations were just announced, and well, Beyonce slayed (sleighed for seasonality since it's December? No. Cool).
A little record called Lemonade dominated this year's music award nominations, appearing on the short list for 9 categories, including album of the year, song of the year (for 'Formation'), and best video.
Our boy Drake, however, was not far behind—he has 8 nominations, as do Kanye and Rihanna.
Overall, the list wasn't particularly surprising (Adele did pretty well for herself too), bar the somewhat obscure choice of Sturgill Simpson's A Sailor's Guide to Earth in the Album of the Year category. That said—it's a fantastic old school country album that certainly deserves the spot.
Now how many sleeps until February 12?!
There are two types of people in the world: Those who can watch this 50 Shades Darker trailer with a straight face, and those who can't.
With no judgement either way, here's the brand new teaser for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's second round as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, featuring masquerade costumes, helicopters, and approximately one shirtless Jamie Dornan per second. As you might expect from an R-rated film things get NSFW pretty quickly, FYI.
50 Shades Darker hits theatres Valentine's Day 2017.
Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey in the 1988 version of Beaches.
Hands up if you used to watch Beaches at every sleepover ever growing up? If you did, thumb's up, if you didn't, call your girlfriends NOW and plan a movie night.
The 1988 Garry Marshall tearjerker starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey about two women who meet in Atlantic City as kids and together navigate all the crap adulthood pulls on you has been remade for Lifetime starring Nia Long and Idina Menzel. The first trailer is out, and yes, there is a new version of "Wind Beneath My Wings."
The movie airs on Lifetime on January 21. And just in case you want a walk down memory lane, here's the trailer for the original. (Keep the Kleenex close by.)
