We’re catching up with a few of our fave top Toronto fashion bloggers for their stylishly savvy take on World Mastercard Fashion Week happening this week.
Blogger extraordinaire: Toronto-based editor and
ELLE Canada contributor
Andrew Lovesey.
Seasonal change: "I am excited to see what IMG has done with Toronto Fashion Week; They are the masterminds behind so many major fashion weeks around the world. I hope that with this experience, IMG will guide Toronto to becoming a driving force in the international fashion community."
Designer must-see: "Hands down: KORHANI home. Though it’s not ready-to-wear fashion, Kirsten Korhani’s show is always captivating. The collections feature her latest rug prints molded into a fantasy tale, usually with different themes. She has had bunnies, micro-pigs and the evil Queen of Hearts – I can only imagine what’s next."
Stylish blogging comrade: "I would say my favourite Toronto blogger is Anita Clarke. She was the first blogger I read upon moving to Toronto, so, yeah – Anita. You can find her on Twitter
@geekigirl."
Fashionable fix you’d give to fashion week: "I would find a way to position fashion week earlier on the circuit so that international buyers can consider Canadian collections while doing their rounds. Holding fashion week a month after
New York,
Paris,
London and all the others does not put us on the buying calendar, besides, Montreal did it – why can’t Toronto?"
