fur runway at fendi
Cool or cruel? The fur runway at Fendi. Image courtesy of @styledotcommatthew on Instagram Has Karl Lagerfeld gone too far this time? The Fendi designer presented his fall 2014 menswear show in Milan, where models walked down a catwalk made of 100% real goat fur.  The House of Fendi is known for its use of exotic pelts and leathers, which is controversial enough…but using real fur to coat a runway, knowing it will be tossed out immediately after, seems extra-cruel and wasteful. It also overshadowed the show, creating the wrong kind of publicity.
Do you agree with Fendi’s decision to use real fur to coat its runway?
