Fashion Truck Canada is making a stop near you, Toronto

fashion-truck-ladiesKeep an eye out on the road for Fashion Truck Canada, with owners Emily Dobbie and Ashley Barber behind the wheel.

The kind of truck stop for the fashion set, Fashion Truck Canada is Toronto's stylish answer to the city's mobile food vendor craze--only better dressed. Toronto's own Emily Dobbie and Ashley Barber--owner of Vocado fashion boutiques and stylist, respectively--hit the road earlier this spring to offer the curated boutique experience on wheels. When the truck stopped by the ELLE Canada office earlier this summer, the style team was gushing over beautiful silk printed kimonos, stacks of denim and fringe summer dresses lining both sides of the shop--I'm hesitant to call it a truck, since the vintage-inspired décor and bright neon sign lends it all the trappings of an upscale hipster boutique. (The pair frequently visits L.A. each season to keep the shop well-stocked with festival-inspired fashion essentials for summer. And according to Instagram, they're moving into lush knit cardis for fall.) fashion-truckThe truck has established a bit of a homebase in Liberty Village and Queen West, while making stops along Front Street and Leslieville, and long weekend road trips to Cottage Country along the way. Follow Fashion Truck Canada on Instagram for daily posts on where they will be setting up shop for the day. Bring your credit cards; no cash, only electronic payments are accepted on the truck, and there's a 10 per cent discount offered to MasterCard holders. One of the best parts of the mobile shopping experience? The diverse range of clothing and accessories on board, all available for mostly under $100. Credit cards up! P.S. If you're in the Muskoka area, look out for the truck at Port Carling on the waterfront from August 22-24!
