Metallics and black will work very well if you wish to play it safe. This will show off your red dress and let it be the focal point of your outfit. Question: What are some of the must-haves for my summer wardrobe? Susan Langdon of Toronto Fashion Incubator helped us out with this question. Here's some of her expert fashion advice:
"When it's 30 celsius and humid, there's nothing better than a breezy summer dress. Look for a loose cut in organic cotton or bamboo for maximum comfort and style. Toronto design label Juma offers several easy-to-wear dresses in organic cotton jersey that are adorable. Many of the dresses feature hemline interests such as gathering, drawstring or folds. The little summer dress also looks great in a tropical or large floral print. New for spring is the billowing caftan in soft, flowing silk - this is fabulous for a summer black-tie event. Designer Joeffer Caoc showed gorgeous, one-shouldered caftans in bright candy shades at his runway show. Other must-haves for summer include the gladiator sandal, softly draped Grecian dresses and tops (check out www.malakbykalamlee.com) and anything in a bright cheery colour or with a metallic sheen."
