ELLE Canada offers editorial internships three times a year to students completing them as part of their college/university program; the length of the internship depends on the requirements outlined by the student’s college/university. (Note: We don’t offer fashion styling internships.) We give priority to students with experience in journalism, writing and fashion studies. (Sorry, no high school students.)
If your goal is to work for a magazine one day, an internship at ELLE Canada is a good place to learn how magazines are created.
Editorial interns are involved in tasks such as research, image sourcing, transcribing and helping to keep our fashion and beauty closets organized.
Art department interns are involved in image research and sourcing, graphic design, preparing pdfs, and general art department tasks. Must have a basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
Interns also have the opportunity to attend weekly team meetings, which can offer further insight into our editorial processes. Candidates should be highly organized, reliable, have a great eye for detail and possess a superior knowledge of current events, including—but not limited to—fashion, beauty and pop-culture trends.
