Yesterday was a real fashion trip—literally. Designers had the fashion tribes flocking across Manhattan from Soho to Uptown. Each area attracted its own signature stylish breed. Here are some of the best: THE GIRL: Lara is a buyer for a downtown showroom. SPOTTED: Studio 5 on Washington Street in Soho. HER STYLE: Upscale boho. WHY WE LOVE IT! Lara offers up a sartorial patriotic nod to American designers with a Jason Wu shirt, Derek Lam fur vest and Alexander Wang handbag. FASHION WEEK MISSION: "I try to wear a piece from each one of the designers I will see this week. Today is a bow to Jason Wu.” For more street style shots from Day 2 of New York Fashion Week, click here. THE GIRL: By day Liz is a marketing manager for the fashion label Ruche and by night she’s a blogger on “Late Afternoon”. SPOTTED: Midtown, West 65 th Street, hailing a cab! HER STYLE: Retro ’50s polished Mad Men feminine style. WHY WE LOVE IT! Clever mix of new (denim shirt from Ruche) paired with a vintage dress and jacket. Sparkling custom jewellery and structured bag complete her ladylike look. FASHION WEEK MISSION: “I can’t wait for this week to be over so that I can take these heels off! My favorite show of the day was Rebecca Minkoff. I think this was her best season yet!” THE GIRL: Ray works for New York Times Style magazine. SPOTTED: Studio 5 on Washington Street in Soho. HER STYLE: “It’s been so cold the past few days that I decided my après-ski look would be fitting.” WHY WE LOVE IT! Balenciaga sweater + Helmut Lang leather pants + A.P.C. jacket + Balenciaga shoes = haute sportif! FASHION WEEK MISSION: “I’m just getting started today. I can’t wait to see Jason Wu’s show.” Missed Nicole Comeau's Day 1 streetstyle shots? Click here.
