Gigi had an emotional night at Britain's Fashion Awards last night, after being awarded the title of International Model of the Year by one of her idols, Donatella Versace.
To be voted for this award by the @britishfashioncouncil, to stand in front of an audience full of my greatest inspirations, idols, and friends, and to be presented International Model of the Year by my angel @donatella_versace was one of the most humbling and emotional experiences of my life. To walk into that room and feel so at home is a great blessing and I have & will cherish every friend, memory, lesson and adventure this industry has given me, forever. I can't wait to continue to grow and create with all of you, and to see what the future holds !! Make a conscious effort every day to be someone people enjoy working with, and your possibilities will surprise you. ❤️
The award was presented by the British Fashion Council, the force behind London Fashion Week and a champion of British fashion. The council's annual awards ceremony celebrates the best of the best in global fashion.
Other recipients at the start-studded show were Gucci's Alessandro Michele, who won best International Ready-To-Wear Designer, and Jaden and Willow Smith, who received the New Fashion Icons award.
Demna Gvasalia also picked up International Ready-To-Wear Designer for his work at Balenciaga, and his label Vetements won best International Urban Luxury Brand.
All in all, Gigi was among some fashion greats. Watch a clip of her acceptance speech here:

Is it Wednesday yet?
James Corden has cruelly teased us with a clip of Madonna's upcoming Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show. The 50-second videos show him and Madonna driving together in New York (already life goals) complete with some in-seat twerking.
We can't wait for the full video to air tomorrow.
Haute joaillerie, a.k.a. bling as only Chanel can do it.
The delicate scent of wheat will forever remind me of Paris. This summer, Place Vendôme was transformed into one of Coco Chanel’s favourite things: a wheat field. During Haute Couture Fashion Week, the designer’s namesake fashion house commissioned French artist Gad Weil to create an installation of a million painted wheat stalks arranged in lacquered boxes. It was all in celebration of the brand’s latest high-jewellery collection, Les Blés de Chanel.
Coco considered wheat, a universal symbol of prosperity and regeneration, her lucky charm. She had many wheat-inspired pieces in her apartment at 31, rue Cambon, including Salvador Dalí’s “Wheat Ear,” which was a gift from the artist. So it’s fitting that the 62-piece jewellery collection was inspired by the life cycle of the grain, from the young stalks of early spring to the fully formed golden sheaves of harvest season.
The day before the jewellery presentation, I attended the Chanel couture show, where Karl Lagerfeld recreated the real Chanel atelier, complete with the petites mains (the talented couturiers who physically create the collections) working quietly on garments as the models walked past them.

After the show, I chatted with actress and model Hari Nef, a transgender woman who is a muse to many fashion designers. “The industry is hungry for new ways of seeing, new ways of being, but I think couture needs to adapt and move toward inclusivity,” she said. “If I saw anything today, it’s that everyone can relate to beauty.”
Before I left Paris, I walked through Place Vendôme one more time to run my fingers across the tops of the elegant wheat stalks. As they stirred in the breeze, I inhaled their mild perfume and looked across at the Ritz, where Coco used to stay. I imagined her looking out and smiling.
The 18-karat-white-and-yellow-gold “Fête des Moissons” necklace (above) set with a 25-carat intense-yellow diamond, is something right out of a fairy tale.
The 18-karat-white-gold and diamond “Brins de Diamants” ear cuffs (above) would pair well with everything from a white tee to your favourite LBD, as would the 18-karat-white-gold and diamond “Légende de Blé” brooch (below).
