Another one bites the dust. Reps for Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr confirmed this morning that the couple have separated after three years of marriage. For gossip watchers, this split isn’t exactly a surprise: Here’s why.

1. They got married when Kerr was only 23, and there’s a six year age difference between the pair. Now, Bloom is 36 and apparently wants more kids, which Kerr isn’t ready for. 2. The rumours (see

Cosmopolitan interview: "When I get home, I’m not the boss like I am at work," the model explains. "I slip into a more feminine role. I take everything off and put on my Stella McCartney silk robe. I’ll put on a red lip or red nails, and it lifts my mood." Two things: 1) Wait—is the model
really the boss at a photo shoot? (The fashion editor and photographer may beg to differ.) 2) Let’s be real: When you get home from a long day at work, are you more likely to apply Russian Red lipstick, or find the most oversized, comfortable pair of track pants in your wardrobe? (Especially if you’ve been with your partner for six years). Something about that quote doesn’t quite ring true, right?
