I love the look of ballet flats for the fall, but I have a hard time finding ballet flats that have good arch support. I have a really high arch, and my feet tend to hurt if I don't have shoes with the right support. Do you have suggestions for designers that make ballet flats with good arch support?

Ballet flats are showing their staying power this season, and there's no reason you can't have style and comfort. For advice for this ELLE Canada reader, I turned to Barbara Atkin, fashion director at Holt Renfrew. She says:
"The problem with true ballet flats is that they rarely give the kind of support you are looking for. This fall, however, you will find many flat shoes that are inspired by the world of ballet but have the support of a regular shoe. Look at Prada Sport, Cole Haan, Burberry, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Tod's. The best bet is to try them on and walk around in them for a while in the shoe store before buying them and make sure you speak to a good shoe sales associate who will steer you in the direction of a well-constructed ballet flat. You can also go to a shoe repair store and buy an insole to put into each shoe."
