Miss Chic

Miss Chic
Im 5'8", with a thin upper body and very thin legs, but I have a rather unproportionally large set of hips. I can never find jeans that fit me well. I don't mind spending a bit more money on jeans as long as i know they will fit well, and not stretch out ridiculously. Please help!
Honey, I feel your pain! The perfect pair of jeans is essential in any woman's wardrobe, so to get you the best advice I turned to Veronica Auyeung of Yorkville boutique Over the Rainbow. Here's what she had to say.
"Because real women do have curves, it's important to find a pair of jeans
that fits proportionately. My recommendation is that you try to flatter and minimize your shape by going for a lower-rise dark denim with stretch.
"The trick is to minimize size by cutting the bottom section in half with a lower rise and balance it out with a boot cut or flare. To complete the look, add heels to elongate your silhouette. Avoid very slim-fitting jeans or straight jeans as they will make your hips seem larger.
"Finally, all denim stretches out over time because it is made of cotton. It's best to buy your jeans fitted to make up for this fact. Fitted is good, tight is bad...there is a difference."
