I wear lipstick but my friends tell me to wear lip gloss instead. Can you tell me a good lip gloss that is dark (I like dark colors) and will last long? Why is lip gloss a better option than lipstick?

To get the low down on lip gloss and lipstick I went to my friend Melissa Gibson, a makeup artist for M.A.C Cosmetics. Here are her lip tips! Lip gloss can be a great alternative to lipstick or it can be used in partnership with it. So, if you are a huge fan of lipstick, you don't have to give it up. Try layering for a full pouty lip that is long wearing. Start with a lipliner and then your favourite lipstick. Top it off with a matching shade of lipgloss. If you like the dark colours use Russian Red for your red shade, Desire for a more plum shade and Shock-o-late for a dark brown shade (all colours by M.A.C Cosmetics). Also great using them on their own!
