I am 28 years old and have very sensitive and enlarged pores. What can I use to diminish the size of my pores that won't irritate my skin?

Everyone's skin is different, which means you need to find the best products and skin-care regimen for you. I asked Jodi Stableford, spa education specialist at Civello in Toronto, for tips for this ELLE reader. She says: "If sensitivity is present in the skin, it should be the first thing to consider when choosing skin-care products. Address enlarged pores, on even the most irritated skin, by using a gentle plant-based exfoliant in a liquid form rather than a traditional facial scrub. A liquid exfoliant, like Aveda's Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant, is lightweight and contains plant-derived salicylic acid, which penetrates into the pores without irritation. "It is important to keep in mind that while you can keep the pores clean of oil, dirt and bacteria, thus reducing their size, the pores will never completely disappear and do not open and close like doors. It is also important to continue with your skin-care regimen by properly moisturizing with a lightweight cream, like Aveda's All-Sensitive Moisturizer, designed to strengthen and repair sensitive skin."
