You are on the right track putting a thin layer of foundation under your lipstick and using a lip liner. Here are a few additional things to keep in mind: Both lipsticks and lip pencils are available in various formulations – often we look at colour without also considering the coverage and texture of the lip product. Look for lipsticks that are long-wearing formulas like Clinique’s Colour Surge Long Last Soft Shine Lipsticks. Lip liners are also available in various formulas so again choose one that is long wearing or even transfer resistant like Clinique’s Quickliner for Lips. When lining your lips, try using a neutral lip pencil shade and shade the entire lip with the liner – this will provide a great base for any lipstick shade.
