Miss Blush
Answer
Miss Blush
Is there an at home treatment for cellulite? I've recently noticed its appearance on my legs and buttocks. I've tried creams and they helped very little. What else can I do?
We turned to Holly Sherrard of the International Dermal Institute to answer this question. Here's what she had to say.
The combination of a healthy diet, daily exercise, 8 glasses of water a day, and dry body brushing is the best remedy for prevention of cellulite not to mention avoiding excess toxins such as smoking and alcohol. Dry body brushing with a loofah, buffing cloth or brush will stimulate cell renewal resulting in a smoother skin tone. In addition to cell renewal dry brushing stimulates lymphatic circulation our natural waste disposal system.
Avoidance of toxins allows our body to function more efficiently therefore resulting in less of that pesky cottage cheese appearance. Some ingredients such as Wasabi, White Tea and Ginger can be incorporated into a professional body treatment to stimulate detoxification of the body, however keep in mind that one treatment is not going to rid the body of cellulite.
