The runway look: The classic tomboy cut is updated and improved by Giambattista Valli. The slick, clear-cut hair on the top and sides provides a stark contrast to the loose and spiked look on the forehead.
Ready to wear: “To avoid looking like Tintin, apply some mousse to the hair and dry while lifting the roots to maintain body and volume,” says hairstylist Denis Binet.
Tip: If you have heavy bangs that make your hair difficult to spike, use a grooming hairbrush to create movement to the right and left of the face. Once the look is created, use a generous amount of hairspray to hold in place.

The runway look: This season, Miu Miu pays homage to the refined 1940s. This haircut is a modern take inspired by the sophisticated style of the Second World War era.
Ready to wear: To make the look contemporary, maintain movement in the hair and gently curl the layers around the face to create a very natural look.
Tip: This look is more difficult to create on freshly shampooed hair, but works wonders one or two days later. Give some pizzazz to layers using hair clay or wax.

The runway look: This fall, Marni made an impression on the runway by giving many of their models stunning side bangs.
Ready to wear: “To help create movement in the hair, make sure not to hide your locks and crimp the hair towards the face. This helps give the hair volume and frame the face,” says hairstylist Denis Binet.
Tip: “To make sure your bangs stay in place, part your hair stating at the outside corner of the eye to create a stark side-swept bang” explains the hairstylist.

The runway look: More bohemian than Pocahontas-inspired, the braids that on the Rag & Bone runway were slender, scattered and messy. The braids start mid-way through the hair and give a wild and nonchalant vibe.Ready to wear: “Alternate between braids and long streaks of hair,” suggests Denis. “The overall style will look more polished, put-together and less like bed-head.”
Tip: Add a dab of styling mousse to the hair before braiding, recommends the expert. This helps to get rid of frizz and unruly hair and allows the braids to keep in place even without using a hair band.

The runway look: In a throwback to the 80s, Missoni has managed to make hair gel trendy again. This year, his models walked down the runway sporting this slick hairstyle that is as androgynous as it is rock and roll.
Ready to wear: “To make sure the hair sets in place, slick the sides and twist the ends behind the neck, “suggests hairstylist Denis Binet. To add a little femininity, tease the top of the hair to add roundness and volume.
Tip: “To get the hair as slick as can be, use a good quality gel and apply it using a fine mesh comb on wet hair,” suggests a hairstylist working with Pantene.
