The Wanted performed new single ‘Lightening’ for the first time at Sainsbury’s Super Saturday yesterday (10.09.11).

The five-piece boyband – comprised of Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes – thrilled fans at the music event, which is designed to raise awareness of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, with the special performance which also included ‘All Time Low’ and ‘Glad You Came’.

The Wanted were part of a line-up including Pixie Lott, Olly Murs, Nicola Roberts and The Sugababes at the all day event at Clapham Common in London which was hosted by Lisa Snowdon and Rick Edwards.

The Saturdays also took to the stage for a selection of their hits including ‘Ego’, ‘Higher’ and new single ‘All Fired Up’, while N Dubz’ Dappy performed his solo singles ‘No Regrets’ and ‘Spaceship’.

However it was headliner Taio Cruz and main support act Chipmunk who stole the show with energetic sets which got the crowd going.

Chipmunk rounded off a thumping performance with his Chris Brown collaboration ‘Champion’ while Taio’s ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Higher’ received an enthusiastic response from the crowd.

Celebrities in attendance included reality TV stars Jessica Wright and Funda Onal, Katie Price’s ex- husband Alex Reid and former ‘EastEnders’ actor Larry Lamb.
