Taylor Swift closed the 40th annual Country Music Association (CMA) Festival in Nashville last night (12.05.11).

A host of country music stars including Blake Shelton, Zac Brown band and Miranda Lambert had appeared over four days of concerts set up by the CMA, culminating in Taylor’s performance.

The ‘ Our Song ‘ hitmaker took to the stage with her lucky number, 13, written on her hand and the lyrics to a Sugarland song written on her arm, reading: “Remember me in ribbons and curls . Love, your baby girl”

Taylor played a set which spanned her career, and included hits such as ‘Love Story’, ‘Mean’ and ‘Story of us’.

Speaking during her performance she told fans: “The cool thing about being on this stage is you get a really good view of everybody out there.”

Despite being a fan of the view, later in her show she ran through the crowd to a second, roof top stage where she played ukulele and sang ‘Fearless’.

Both Miranda and Blake coyly acknowledged their recent marriage over the course of the evening, with the latter introducing the former’s set by saying: “This next artist I’m going to bring out is a country music innovator, and she is going to melt your faces off!”

Miranda later said fans had given her the best wedding present she could have hoped for – her third number one track, ‘Heart Like Mine’, which she found out about on her wedding day last month.

Other performers on the last day of the festival included The JaneDear Girls, Darius Rucker and The Band Perry.
