Professor Green is planning to have his tonsils removed.

The ‘I Need You Tonight’ hitmaker has come down with tonsillitis for the third time this year while shooting a video for his new single and is now planning to eliminate the problem permanently.

In a post on twitter, he said: “Today I’m shooting the video for ‘At Your Inconvenience’. I have tonsillitis again, pretty inconvenient. Definitely getting them out (sic).”

The rapper previously ruled out surgery because he was “too busy” Back in March, when he was suffering from throat problems.

He tweeted: “F**k f**k f**k. So not resting up has led to my tonsillitis coming back twice as bad. I’ve hardly slept it hurts so much. S***ter (sic).

“But I can’t get the two weeks off I’d need to recover.”

Green – real name Stephen Paul Manderson – has a long history of throat problems and in 2009 admitted his habit of smoking marijuana and drinking alcoholic spirits left his voice in a bad way.

He said: “After all the years I’d been smoking, it was high time that I did. I’d be smoking onstage, I’d have my whisky onstage I’d come off and my throat would be ripped to shreds. To the extent where I was spitting blood.”

‘At Your Inconvenience’ is set for release on October 31.
