Leona Lewis will release new tracks before 2012.

The ‘Bleeding Love’ hitmaker has pushed back the release of her third album, ‘Glassheart’ until after Christmas so she can continue working on new songs, but has promised to release some new material before next year.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m planning an EP before the end of the year as I feel bad for everyone who was expecting the album this year.”

Leona has been re-working part of her album since she making tracks with dance-pop producer Calvin Harris and songwriter Emeli Sande.

She added: “I’ve worked with Calvin on a song and want to do another – he’s so talented.”

However, Leona will break for Christmas, which she plans to spend with her mother.

She said: “I’m going back to Wales, where my mum is from, for Christmas, but then it’s back to finishing the album.”

Leona has so far released one track set for ‘Glassheart’, called ‘Collide’, produced by Swedish DJ Avicii.
