Lenny Kravitz will release new album ‘Black and White America’ this summer.

The ‘Fly Away’ hitmaker’s ninth studio album will come out on August 22, preceded by a single, ‘Stand’ on June 6 and he will support the album with a European tour later in the year.

The singer and guitarist last played live as the support act on U2’s 360 Degree World Tour, which went on to become the highest grossing tour of all time.

Despite the rocker now being 47, he has told how he has no problem baring his chest for his audiences, saying: “My shirt will come off sometimes on stage. Or if I’m in the Bahamas. I don’t wear many clothes at all.

“I’ll take two jeans and five T-shirts down there. If I’m hanging out on the beach, I could wear nothing.”

Lenny has a busy schedule this year, as he has also been cast in new film ‘The Hunger Games’, which will see him star alongside Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.

Tickets for Lenny’s European tour – which includes dates in the UK, France, Holland, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Italy and Poland, among others and runs throughout October and November – are on sale from June 3.
