Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner is planning another album with Last Shadow Puppets.

The singer has been in touch with his band partner Miles Kane about a second album with their side project, to follow up 2008s ‘The Age of the Understatement’.

Miles – who has recently released his debut solo album ‘The Colour of the Trap’ – told Gigwise.com: “We were both talking about it the other day, around how we could work it.

“At the moment it’s hard as we both have stuff out and tours coming up.

“But for me I think I’d just like to do a second [solo album] relatively quickly and I’m sure if we were to do a second Last Shadow Puppets album then that would come soon after.”

Meanwhile Alex has recently told how his main band are more “confident” with their sound on their fourth album, ‘Suck it and See’.

He said: “We’re more confident as a band at the moment. We can relax a bit more and put more effort into our high kicks now. Maybe it’ll be time to get some pyrotechnics out soon.”
