Kasabian signed off from their ‘Velociraptor!’ tour in style at London’s The O2 last night (15.12.11).

The ‘Re-Wired’ dance rockers stunned the crowd by playing their biggest hits in front of a spectacular big screen display, ending their latest run of gigs with a rousing version of 2009 single ‘Fire’.

Kasabian – vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarists Sergio Pizzorno and Jay Mehler, bassist Chris Edwards and drummer Ian Matthews – set the standard for the night by opening their energetic set with ‘Days are Forgotten’ and ‘Shoot The Runner’ before launching into the title track from their latest album ‘Velociraptor!’.

The show made extra special for Sergio – who was celebrating his 31st birthday yesterday – when Tom began a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ and the crowd all joined in, shortly before they toasted the imminent festive period by singing ‘Jingle Bells’.

The group’s futuristic lighting show complemented their blazing-electro tracks ‘Club Foot’ and ‘LSF (Lost Souls Forever)’, and they showed their versatility when Sergio took over the lead vocals on ‘Take Aim’.

The ‘Underdog’ rockers saved the best until last by beginning their encore with ‘Switchblade Smiles’ before launching into 2010 hit ‘Vlad the Impaler’ followed by crowd favourite ‘Fire’.
