Guns N’ Roses are getting ready to record a new album.

The ‘Paradise City’ group – who famously took 14 years to release their last album ‘Chinese Democracy’, replacing every member of the band along the way, aside from lead singer Axl Rose – are currently working on ideas for a new record after completing their present world tour.

Guitarist DJ Ashba said: “We’re talking about that right now. We’ve been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good. We’ve got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won’t take as long – I promise.”

Ashba also said he believes Axl has a number of ideas already formed for the new album, and he can’t wait to get back into the recording studio.

He added: “I’m excited to get this next one rolling. Axl has a lot of good stuff up his sleeves, so I’m really excited about it.”

Axl’s close friend, singer Sebastian Bach has previously claimed Axl has already got plans for two more albums, to complement ‘Chinese Democracy’, which he has heard some of the tracks from.

He said: “One of my favorite songs is this song called ‘the general’ which is by far the heaviest metal tune I think I’ve ever heard Axl do, this slow grinding riff with these high piercing vocals, screaming vocals.

“I was like, when is this coming out? And he said, ‘2012’. I was like, ‘dude, your killing me!’

“He goes, ‘well this comes out on the third record. It relates to this song, it’s a trilogy, this goes with this lyrically.’

“He’s got it all figured out, he’s just different than other people. He does things on his own time, in his own way, but you know. The worlds not prepared for what I’ve heard from this guy.”
