Jay-Z is a fan of Elbow.

The ’99 Problems’ rapper is a fan of the ‘Neat Little Rows’ indie group after seeing them from the side of the stage at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

Radio DJ Jo Whiley, who was hosting the first ‘Persil Pass on the Love Picnic’ at this year’s Camp Bestival festival, explained to BANG Showbiz: “I watched Elbow with him at Glastonbury, he was just there at the side of the stage.

“Because he is who he is, nobody talks to him. So he just stands there on his own looking a little bit lonely and forlorn, and because he’d been on the Live Lounge on my show, I stood and chatted to him.

“He was saying, ‘tell me about this band, who are they, what have they done?’

“And he was genuinely, really interested, and he did love Elbow.”

Jay was also keen on Scottish singer Paolo Nutini, saying he also wants to collaborate with him because of his rich soulful voice.

He has also previously admitted to liking Oasis, saying: “I play ‘Wonderwall’ a lot at my restaurant on Friday nights – after we’ve had a few drinks it works really well.”

DJ and mum-of-four Jo Whiley teamed up with Persil 2in1 with Comfort to host the first ‘Persil Pass on the Love Picnic’ at the Camp Bestival this past weekend. Mums and children were encouraged to hold a picnic and bring their newly washed soft toys for another child to love. For more family picnic ideas and tips visit www.netmums.com/persilpassonthelove
