Dappy lonely without bandmates

Dappy feels lonely when he performs without his N-Dubz bandmates.

The 'No Regrets' singer - who is the first of the hip-hop group to release a solo record - gets "sad" when he plays gigs as an unaccompanied artist because 'X Factor' judge Tulisa and record producer Fazer are not there with him after the band went on a hiatus earlier this year.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "When I'm on stage, I look around and all I can see is my gospel backing singers, and I just think, 'Where's Tulisa? Where's Fazer?' That makes me sad.

"When N-Dubz played our last show at The O2 in London, we collapsed into each other's arms at the end as we knew it'd be our last show for two years."

The 24-year-old rapper thinks his forthcoming solo album - also called 'No Regrets' - is his biggest achievement, but he wants project to portray him as a "great musician" rather than a member of a band who mainly target a younger audience.

He added: "People have this image of me from N-Dubz that we're just for the youngsters, but now I can show I'm not just this t**t who was a naughty boy growing up - I'm a great musician with a unique sound."

Dappy recently revealed he is expecting the 'Morning Star' group to split up by 2013 and pursue individual projects on a permanent basis.

He said: "The band is definitely going to quiet down for the next year-and-a-half to two years. We may release some stuff every six months but it will definitely be quieter. Then, at the end of that period, we will do a 'Greatest Hits' or 'Best of N-Dubz'. Then that'll be it: finished."
