Amy Winehouse has cancelled the next two dates of her comeback European tour following a disastrous comeback concert on Saturday night (18.06.11).

The troubled singer – who checked out of rehab three weeks ago after being treated for drink problems, and has battled drug addiction in the past – was booed by fans during the opening show in her 12 date European tour in Belgrade.

During her show at the Serbian capital’s Kalemegdan Park Amy delivered hardly recognisable versions of ‘Valerie’, ‘Back to Black’ and ‘Love Is a Losing Game’, and acted erratically throughout.

During the show, Amy reportedly looked wild-eyed and confused, repeatedly wiped her nose, hugged herself and even threw one of shoes into the crowd, prompting concerns for her health and leading to the decision to cancel shows in Istanbul tonight (20.06.11) and Athens on Wednesday (22.06.11).

Her spokesman confirmed: “Amy has cancelled appearances in Istanbul and Athens for the coming week. Despite feeling she wanted to fulfil these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home.

“She would like to apologise to fans expecting to see her at the shows but feels this is the right thing to do.”

The singer’s current tour has been billed as Amy’s big comeback, and her next scheduled performance will now be at the BBK Festival in Bilbao, Spain, on July 8.
