Liam Payne and Cheryl Tweedy
One Direction singer Liam Payne and former Girls Aloud member Cheryl Tweedy have called it quits. The couple—who first met when Payne was a contestant and Tweedy was a judge on the U.K. iteration of X-Factor in 2008, but didn't start dating until 2015—confirmed their split on social media in early July. In a shared statement, the couple wrote: "We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family." Payne, 24, and Tweedy, 35, share a one-year-old son together named Bear.
