When the 7th Harry Potter book was released in 2007, it seemed like J.K. Rowling had said a very firm, “Avadacadavra” to the adventures of the boy wizard.

Which is why today’s news has us feeling happier than if we’d drunk a vat of Butterbeer: THERE’S GOING TO BE AN 8TH BOOK!

It was announced today that “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” would be published on July 31. If that’s ringing a bell, it’s because a stage play of the same name is set to be staged in London this summer, written by J.K. Rowling.

The new book tells the same story as the play, which so far we know catches up with Harry as an adult, bored Ministry of Magic employee, and centres around his youngest son, Albus, who’s apparently struggling with being a “Potter”.
