3 incredible quotes from Emma Watson's chat with Malala Yousafzai

When two of the most influentual young feminists on the planet get together, you know it's going to be a good chat to eavesdrop on, so when actress Emma Watson interviewed activist Malala Yousafzai, we had high hopes. And they did not disappoint!

Here are the three moments that made us stand up in our cubicles and cheer:

When Malala tells Emma that's she's the reason she finally felt proud to call herself a feminist:

"It has been a very tricky word, and when I heard it the first time, I heard some negative responses and some positive responses, and I hesitated in saying whether I am a feminist or not. And then after hearing your speech when you said 'if not now, when? if not me, who?' I decided there is nothing wrong with calling yourself a feminist...feminism is another word for equality."

Emma thanks Malala for her example:

"It really struck me what you've sacrificed for your ideals and your dream and this movement, and it made me really emotional actually. So I just want to thank you for being who you are, and for being so brave."

And finally, Malala's call to action:

"People fail to understand that my goal—which is to see every child go to school—hasn't been reached yet, and it's really important that we come together...this is about the future of all those 66 million girls who can't go to school right now. It's about our future!"
