Whether you plan to throw a big Hollywood-style party for the Oscars Award Night Gala or just curl up on a cozy couch, a themed cocktail or two will help set the mood. In preparation for such a grand event, we mixed up a few drinks from the Beverly Hills Hotel’s special awards-season cocktail menu. Our favourite is "Birthed in Ireland," inspired by best picture nominee Philomena. Based on how delicious this cocktail is, let’s hope Philomena wins. Cheers!

1 1/2 oz Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey 1 oz Strawberry Syrup 1 oz Lime Juice Top with club soda Add ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Shake and strain over fresh rocks. Fill with club soda. Garnish with half of a strawberry.
