perfect dress for New Years and you’ve settled on your
makeup look, set aside some time to think about your resolutions for 2014. According to the latest research, anywhere from 40 to 80 percent of us participate in this annual ritual. The success rate isn’t too high. (But you already knew that, if you think back to last year and the lofty goals you set for yourself for 2013!) According to new research by University of Scranton, 71 percent us will work at them for two weeks, 64 percent for one month and 46 percent for six months. Then it’s back to status quo. The BMO Wealth Institute released a report this week, which not surprisingly, suggests that 36 percent of these goals will be related to finances.
Fitness and health account for 51 percent. Personal goals, like learning a new skill or volunteering, account for 31 percent while 19 percent are focused on
boosting one’s love life. Only 17 percent are making plans related to work, whether that’s a career change or
negotiating a raise.
Read on to find out how you can beat the odds and make your financial, health and relationship goals a reality in 2014!
