By Jasmine Roberts It seems like Kate Middleton, our favourite real-life fairytale princess from across the pond, is at it again. The Duchess of Cambridge took to the royal family's official YouTube page to call attention to mental health in children in order to support UK’s first Children’s Mental Health Week. We have to say, watching this video was a shock for us, as we rarely hear her voice. She doesn’t speak in public often, but when she does it’s lovely. "The stigma around mental health means that many children do not get the help that they so badly need. This needs to change,” she said, urging society to openly talk about issues of domestic violence, bullying, and family breakdowns that can lead to anxiety, depression, addiction, and possibly self-harm. Working alongside Place2Be, a charity that offers service to youth struggling with mental health, Kate Middleton hopes to find a safe and informative environment for children. After being a patron of the charity since 2013, she hopes that children can openly talk about these issues without feeling afraid, stating that: "No one would feel embarrassed about seeking help for a child if they break their arm, and we really should be equally ready to support a child coping with emotional difficulties." Is there anything she can’t do? We may just be in awe. Want to get involved?
