If there’s one part of
New York City that you can really feel like a local in, it’s the Upper West Side. It’s where people live and work, and other than the close proximity of Central Park, you need to travel quite far to find yourself in a tourist trap. That’s why I fancied the
Hotel Belleclaire so much. Tucked away on 77th Street, you’re right around the corner from local cafés, Mexican joints, the Beacon Theatre, the Lincoln Center and markets. And not far off from the subway line to take a trip to SoHo, the Lower East Side or Midtown. Some more reasons to love the Hotel Belleclaire:
1. Its quaint rooms come with character like bay windows, hardwood floors and massive doors that make you feel more like you’re living apartment-style in New York rather than at a hotel.
2. The rooms all come with free WiFi. Something this tech-loving girl loves more than even comfy sheets (although Instagraming is so much better tucked into a thick duet and crisp sheets), but sadly many hotels are still not offering these days. And for the record, the Frette sheets and bed are both ridiculously comfy.
