Happy hour: The champagne tower

By:
HappyHour[1] photo[10] To close out our month of Great Gatsby inspired cocktails, we at ELLE Canada decided to do the most decadent thing we could think of: create a champagne fountain. So we asked our friends at William Ashley China to send over their most beautiful crystal champagne saucers, and we (very carefully!) got to work. To create a champagne fountain, you will need: 1 tray Identical saucers (we used 10 saucers in all) Chandon champagne Click through to see how to build a champagne tower... photo[11] copy 1) Create a solid base so that the tower will be sturdy, and don’t forget to put it on a tray to catch the champagne spillover. 2) Layer the tower. All the glasses need to be touching and there will be a gap in between each three or four glasses. Layer the glasses over the gaps. Continue until your tower is at the desired height. 3) Pour the champagne slowly into the top cup, and watch as it dribbles down and fills the others. Be very gentle!
