The chicest way to wash your face.
Long hailed by Frenchwomen and makeup artists for its ability to cleanse skin without stripping it dry, micellar water is going next level. The no-rinse makeup-erasing liquid (teeny drops of suspended oil bond to pigments, oil and dirt) was birthed in France in the 1920s and has finally gotten a 21st-century tweak. Here are three new adaptations:
Sephora Collection Micellar Cleansing Water in Charcoal taps buzzy ingredient activated charcoal, known for its capacity to draw out debris from the epidermis for an ultra-deep clean. ($11), sephora.com.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water Wipes are fragrance-free and promise to clean skin and remove last night’s Altuzarra-inspired smudgy eye. ($10), walmart.ca.
NeoStrata Detoxifying Micellar Gel contains a plant extract called “celldetox” that helps reinforce the process of cell detoxification (and translates into cleaner skin and a faster uptake of your anti-aging serum). ($22), well.ca.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Chapter 4,372 in the Drake/Rihanna love story: Drake, arguably the world's friendliest ex, gave RiRi a birthday shoutout during his concert in Dublin yesterday. (MELTING.) And since nothing is private anymore, obviously it was captured on someone's cell and blasted out to the world for us to replay over and over.
"It's somebody's birthday today—somebody I have a lot of love for and a lot of respect for," he said. "So, instead of singing 'Happy birthday,' though, we just going to do this in Dublin. Instead of singing 'Happy Birthday,' we're going to set it off just like this..."
Do you see a reunion in their future? Is the whole J.Lo thing over? We only know this: so happy RN.

"Who’d you rather what?"
We never would have taken J.Lo for a Harry Styles fan. The singer was cornered into a game of “Who’d Your Rather” while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.
And while she remained super coy about whatever is going on between her and Drake, she got pretty candid during the game featuring some of Hollywood’s most desirable bachelors. Watch below to see which Oscar-winning actor she's not-so-secretly pining for and what star is "like a brother" to her.
First women marched, and now, we strike. The date? March 8.
The organisers of January's Women's March on Washington (which then grew into a massive upswell of women marching in capitals and small towns alike across the world) have announced the date for their promised "Day Without A Woman", aka a general strike for women and their allies on International Women's Day.
Details on what this will actually look like—and how you can get involved—are still TBD, but the announcement helps flesh out some of the ideological background / reasoning about why this doing something like this matters now:
In the spirit of women and their allies coming together for love and liberation, we offer A Day Without A Woman. We ask: do businesses support our communities, or do they drain our communities? Do they strive for gender equity or do they support the policies and leaders that perpetuate oppression? Do they align with a sustainable environment or do they profit off destruction and steal the futures of our children? We saw what happened when millions of us stood together in January, and now we know that our army of love greatly outnumbers the army of fear, greed and hatred. On March 8th, International Women’s Day, let’s unite again in our communities for A Day Without A Woman. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing more information on what actions on that day can look like for you. In the meantime, we are proud to support Strike4Democracy's #F17 National Day of Action to Push Back Against Assaults on Democratic Principles. This Friday, February 17th, gather your friends, families, neighbors, and start brainstorming ideas for how you can enhance your community, stand up to this administration, integrate resistance and self-care into your daily routine, and how you will channel your efforts for good on March 8th. Remember: this is a marathon, not a sprint. #DayWithoutAWoman #WomensMarch
