According to a statement on Jeopardy’s website, Canadians are no longer allowed to apply for the game show. “At this time we are precluded from accepting registration information from Canadian residents,” says the FAQ section of the site. “We are currently evaluating this matter.”

The reason your hopes and dreams are dashed? How international law allows information to be shared online, apparently. I’ll take “Annoying” for $400.
